Green Tree Elementary School Family Updates

 Happy May Gator Families! Can you believe we are in our last full month of the year!?  If there were ever a time to be kind, this is the year for it!  As we dive into our final full month of school, we will be focusing on kindness.   At Green Tree, we try hard as a staff to influence our school culture for the better- and that includes using all the skills we teach and practice throughout the year. Demonstrating empathy and compassion, practicing inclusion and acceptance, and showing kindness are all part of what it takes to be a gator.  All year the students have demonstrated these skills and we hope they continue to show their excellent use of these skills to you at home!  As we focus on kindness this month, we will share resources for the home connection should you be interested in ideas outside of the school setting.  If you would like more resources, do not hesistate to contact me, our school counselor, or your child's classroom teacher for...

 Happy Spring Gator Families!   As April approaches, so does the start of 4th quarter! I want to thank all the parents and guardians who attended conferences this past quarter.  The teachers are always happy to share updates and discuss your child's progress, so please do not hesistate to reach out! This next month will start our schoolwide theme focused on friendship skills. In our morning announcements, we’ll be reminding students to invite others to play, play in fair ways, take responsibility for mistakes by making amends, and how to handle concerns assertively.
