Hello Gator Families!
It is bittersweet to be sending the final newsletter of the year. Thinking back to the first one, I remember feeling so unsure and honestly a little scared of our return to school. With all of the changes to the schedule and new protocols for safety, I wondered how long it would take for all of us to adjust. As always, your children wowed me with their flexibility, understanding, and perserverence to be safe and still manage to have fun at school! This year has been full of interesting things, but one thing remains constant- the students shine through it all. They are focused, creative, engaged, and always fun! Most importantly though, they are kind. I can always count on them to include me on their team at recess or in the classroom, to dance with me at our assemblies, or to pull me around on my holiday sleigh. I can always count on them to do that for each other too. I look forward to seeing your students each day and wish all of you a great, fun-filled summer!
Please see below for updates and reminders. If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please feel free to contact me anytime!

Boys and Girls Club
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Washington County is gearing up for a fun and safe summer at all of our locations! We wanted to make sure you’re aware of the opportunities and services at our two sites within the West Bend School District. We have a site in West Bend, just across the street from Regner Park, and a site in Jackson that operates out of the Jackson Community Center!
Each and everyday the Club will provide youth with options of activities, programs, and field trips for youth to participate in. We will continue to follow various guidelines and procedures to ensure that we are supporting youth from a health standpoint as well!
Our fees are affordable, and if you still need financial support, we can help!

Chromebooks
The West Bend School District’s 1:1 device program includes a rotation of grade levels turning in their Chromebooks at the end of the school year for return, replacement, or reconfiguration. This means that other students will keep their Chromebook at home over the summer.
Schools and teachers will work with students in grades 12, 11, 8, and 4 to return Chromebooks on June 3 or 4 or when summer school is complete if they are enrolled. All other students will keep their Chromebook and charger for the summer.
The Chromebooks will continue to have the same security features and students are expected to follow school technology expectations. Purchased technology insurance for the 20-21 school year applies for the summer. If tech support is needed, email supporttech@wbsd-schools.org.
Please go to the website to get details on maintaining the Chromebook during the summer and how WBVA students in grades 4, 8, 11, and 12 return Chromebooks and hotspots.
